The gentle sun, warm and rich, the changing of the leaves to reds and golds, or the little buzz of nectar gatherers, reaping the remnants of pollen from summers last flowers in preparation for the future days of cold and frost.
I was looking through old photos from last year and came across a few that I liked but had not edited. It's nearly time to do another yearly session with my boy, something I like to do near or around the time of his birthday. I find it's a great way to remember his sweetness and what he was like at that age!
I recently found more flower fae within some of my favourite flowers. David austin roses, which were near the end of their life.
I love how some flowers, even when they start to wilt and die, have beauty and delicacy about them.
I wasn't sure if I would find anything in the original images that I shot so when the fae started to appear, I was just so excited! Their all so interesting to me. Because of the decay, some of their features were more pronounced and beautiful!
A while ago I had a wonderful opportunity to photograph a wedding. Naturally, I also took a lot of beautiful photos of the flowers, which were red and cream roses.
So much later on down the track, and I decided to see if there were any fae to be discovered. I use a mirroring technique in photoshop to find them, and once I run the action that I have made, they soon make an appearance!
Some of the ones I found were so very cute, others are down right creepy!
