A dear friend!

I have had the honour and delight of calling this beautiful woman one of my dearest and closest friends. Her son is my son's best friend, and we have one of those friendships that is so very, very easy. We don't ring each other all the time, in fact, to be honest, we sorely neglect each other! But no matter how much time passes, and things change, one thing stays the same. Our friendship.

I got my new camera the other day! And guess who got to be my guinea pig! LOL!
So, here she is, trying not to laugh, which is oh so very tricky for her, and posing beautifully for me!

At the train station.

 In the flowers!

I love this one!

The only reason God didnt make us sisters

is because one mother couldn't handle us both.

Little Mr Murphy!

Awww! Look at this little guy! He is such a sweet little chap! Both my husband and I agreed, he reminds us both of our boy, when he was a baby too. Such a perfect angel with such a pretty face!

At 8 weeks old, I knew the possibility of getting those classic infant poses was not really going to happen, but do you know what? He was sooo good! I even got some smiles, and he was able to hold his head up, for just a second, letting me take some really sweet shots of him. And like my son, he didn't really like to be out of his mummy's arms when he fell asleep! ( Don't I remember that so well! Trying to hang up the washing while holding my infant son for the entire first six months! ) So we got him being held by his mum instead!

Thank you to his mummy, for letting me create some little "snippets" of his babyhood. It all goes by so fast, I wish, so very much, that I had memories like these ones, of my own.

Happy Birthday Zel!

It's my girl's birthday today. The big 3. So cheeky, so sweet and such a delight.

We went into the spring flowers, and picked some to take home. Beautiful, precious memories of you, my darling child!

Daughters are like flowers, that fill the world with beauty.

Creating a new B/W Film action

Some of the latest trends in photoshop actions are to recreate film black and white. I have already delved into it, by copying the colours of vintage images, particularly those from the victorian and edwardian eras.  But a lot of the ones that are being created at the moment are emulating those of the 20's to 70's.

My little try at it!

Miss J ( Post 2 )

I have been waiting for the blossoms to come out, on the old apple trees in the orchard.
Watching, and waiting. Impatiently! And when they appeared, I hastily contacted Jessica's mum, and said " their out, the blossoms are out! Can we go tomorrow to take some photos? " ( Because as we all know, spring weather is so very fickle, and it could blow a gale in the next two days, and all the flowers would be gone! ) Luckily, she was able to come, and so off we went! And now, they have beautiful memories of a day, spent in the apple orchard, in spring!

Like any two year old, funny faces are a must!

Sharing some kisses with mummy!
Bye, beautiful Jess! Till next time!

There is no glory in star or blossom till looked upon by a loving eye; There is no fragrance in April breezes till breathed with joy as they wander by.
