A little bit of Parris.

I held a little competition a few months ago, to generate some interest in my facebook page. When it came time to choose the winner, I placed all the names into a bowl, and my son picked the name out. Little did I know the person he had chosen was absolutely gorgeous!

So, I would like to introduce you to Parris. With glorious raven hair, and beautiful eyes to match, it's very very hard not to get a great photograph when the subject is this lovely!

Can't help myself, had to "vintage" her up!

I love these! Just to show off her glorious eyes!

Unloved orchard...

Just a quick photo I took of some trees in an old orchard, which is now used as shade for the cows in summer! It was quite sad, really, looking at those old trees, with the fog between their lines.

Blackiston Anglican Cemetery

Its odd, isn't it, how you can miss things for years, and only just discover them and wonder why you had not noticed it before.

That's what this little place is. Tucked behind the agapanthus, on the main road between the towns of Littlehampton and Nairne, is this sorely neglected cemetery. It has such a hint of old things, old times and forgotten people. A time when people died young, and they erected magnificent head stones and planted rose bushes and hawthorn trees, to remember their existence. To remember the love. And now there is not much left at all but falling, crumbling stone and tombs, and the drip of the rain and long grass and weeds to wet your feet.
Today it was so densely foggy. I nipped out this morning, it is just around the corner from where I live, and went for a little visit. I do have to say, I got a little thrill down my back bone standing in all that fog, in a desolate and deserted cemetery. But all I heard were the cars driving past, in a hurry to go somewhere, and a few birds cawing to each other.
So I guess this is it. The way it all ends, some day. With the headstones facing east, toward the rising sun, with the clouds above, and the silence below. And the peace. And things keep on growing, and changing, and old things fall, and new things are built.
But there is a sense of peace, here, a silent, well earned rest. Just a cycle of life. And these few memories left behind.

Warming ATP Actions

I love a bit of inviting warmth in a photo. It's just what I love looking for in an image. It brings me in, makes me "warm" to it.

These are my Warming Actions. They are more of a basic edit, with added filters and gradients to bring out the colour and tone in the image. Once again, I have given you four samples of how the PS action works on different images for each Action. Every photograph is going to be different, and the action WILL give each image a slightly different look, even while using the same colour and layer combinations. It will still have a similar effect and style to the ones I have given you to look at.

If you have been directed here to choose a style you would like your images to be edited in, just quote the name, and I will do the rest!

Colour ATP Photoshop Actions

I love a bit of colour. Especially in children's photos. It just adds a special bit of "ping" to the whole feel of an image. So I am sharing with you my colour range of photoshop actions.

An action is a pre recorded sequence of editing and colour adding. By recording it, I am able to add the style I have created to any photograph I want. Sometimes the Action just doesn't match the feel of an image, sometime is just makes you go WOW!  Ahh, the beauty of learning Photoshop! Actions also have a sneaky way of saving me time too!

There are four different photographs in each set.
If you are one of those people directed here to choose the style of editing you like for your images, just quote me the Action name, and I will do the rest!

Black and White ATP Photoshop Actions

Typical me, I couldn't ever just stick with just plain old Black and White. While I do love a classic B/W image, especially those beautiful old photos, before colour was introduced, I like adding warmth and interest to the images too.

This is the Black and white collection.

As with all Photoshop actions, the same elements, when applied, will approach the photograph in different ways. So I have included four very different images, with different coloured backgrounds, to give a better example of how each individual action will work on your photo.

If you are one of those special people who are looking at this, to make the choice of what sort of edit you would like added to your image, just quote the name of the action you like, and I will do the rest!
