Vintage effects.

Found some sweet old painted victorian photos, and thought I would give it a go in PS. I'm actually really happy with the result. They've been playing with photos way before electricity and technology took over. Nothing has changed really....

That third "child" in our family!

Every family that has pets has one of them, that significant "other" child, who can't tell the difference between the animal kingdom and human land. And where they are supposed to sit in the realms. This one believes, quite fervently, that she belongs in our world, and there she has decided to stay. Forever. What a mutt. We adore her, though, don't know why, considering the stuff she gets up to, but, as with any child, you still love them, don't you.....

Big Doggie Smiles!

...and this one says it all, her nose is into EVERYTHING!!!

Photoshop Actions

Hey there! So, because I'v not really had anything to work on at the moment, I'v been exploring the advantages of creating my own presets in photoshop, for my images. The technical term for it is Photoshop Actions. I'v really only just started to play around with all the endless possibilities for colour and "image enhancement". I have noticed that many of the wonderful and creative photographers out there are producing some amazing effects using digital editing. I'm not sure how long this faze of digital photography will last for. You know, like baguettes, scrunchies and permed hair, it may just be the fad of the moment, OR it could be the thing of the future.
Anyway, I thought I would share some of the actions I have created for myself and see what your thoughts are! Maybe you would like me to use them on your own photos!

Photoshop has it's uses!

Some of us are incredibly blessed to have that perfect skin, or face, that is desirable and wanted. And Some of us, beautiful and sweet and all together lovely, shine in other ways.
When we photographers are editing, ( which is the thing I LOVE doing ), we are able to manipulate things a bit, that give a much cleaner and less distracting end result.
I just wanted to let you see what we do when we say we are editing your photos. It takes time, and it takes patience! But when it's done nicely, the end results make everybody happy!
Mummy was pleased and this baby girl has a beautiful image to treasure for many years to come.

Delicate miss K

This little girl, only 10 days old, is soo tiny and fragile, with big wide eyes and beautiful lips. How light she was in my arms, such a wee thing, and absolutely adorable. She is also the smallest and newest baby I'v had the chance to photograph yet, and what the experts say is true, the closer they are to their birth date, the easier it is to put them into wonderful positions and have them pose with a minimum of fuss.  I have to share some of my favourites with you!

I know, that bowl is getting a workout, but I'm loving the way I can move it and not miss K while changing back drops!

One with Daddy...

There is always going to be a moment when the star of the show cries!!
All part of being a baby!
